I experience a weird problem with Evince: whenever I select some text, the selection becomes all black instead of being white-on-black.
I tried to isolate the problem but I don't have a good knowledge of which library does what....
Evince is the only program affected. I discovered this problem some months ago, in the meanwhile all the updates of X, gtk, pango, cairo, poppler, etc. were applied, but still nothing.
Here is what I see:
As you can see I run LXDE with openbox. All the software has been upgraded today, except X which is at version 1.12.4-1.
Thank you for all the help you can give me.

Hi, I am not sure if you are still suffering from this problem. I just encountered the same issue under KDE, and the way I solved it was to install gnome-themes-standard package and choose gtk3 theme as Adwaita. Just as a reference, here is my .config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
[Settings]
gtk-font-name=Cantarell 15
gtk-theme-name=Adwaita
gtk-icon-theme-name=oxygen
gtk-fallback-icon-theme=oxygen
gtk-toolbar-style=GTK_TOOLBAR_ICONS
gtk-menu-images=0
gtk-button-images=0
Hope this can be helpful.

Thank you shallpion! I was about to give up and look for another pdf viewer... but your method did the trick, now it works perfectly!
Not matter how many documents I read about it, DEs are a very complicated topic and guides are often outdated.
Thank you again!

Not a problem zarel . Please mark this issue as [solved] as the forum suggests. Thanks
