Can't play VLC...

I got installed on system but can't use it!

DE: gnome

be4 gnome: kde but was working fine vlc...

what happened?

let's do it again:

if I hit the VLC icon the led light of hd flashes but no start VLC...dunno what else do U need to no?

VLC is not supposed to be run as root. Sorry.
If you need to use real-time priorities and/or privileged TCP ports
you can use vlc-wrapper (make sure it is Set-UID root and
