Re: [SOLVED] xfce glass panel

do you have enabled compositing? You can try an image with already transparency or opacity.

* PC: Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 @ 2.33 GHz with 2 GB RAM: Archlinux-i686 with xfce4.
* Laptop: Intel Core 2 DUO T6600 @ 2.20 GHz with 4 GB RAM: Archlinux-x86-64 with xfce4.

Re: [SOLVED] xfce glass panel

Re: [SOLVED] xfce glass panel

You could probably use gimp or something to make a panel texture. Use the kde background as the top layer and change the opacity to whatever you want and blur it and then put the bottom x number of pixels of your wallpaper underneath it and make that your panel.

Re: [SOLVED] xfce glass panel

If you want to blur the background, you'll have to use compiz instead of xfwm4 as a window manager.

i tried once blur the panel image with gimp, but it didn't work... progandy said next to you than the problem is xfce compositor...

no, it's like a panel that make the wallpaer under it stay with blur effect...

Re: [SOLVED] xfce glass panel

compiz didn't make any difference... i think i will apply the blur effect in the wall, like i usualy do with panel's shadow. it seems blur effect doesn't do any effect with few colors...

You'll have to set up blur for your panel in compiz. http://wiki.compiz.org/Plugins/Blur
If you hardly move any windows below the panel blurring the background image directly is more efficient.

hummm... now i understand, compiz is a great aplication, but i don't like it to the every day use... i aplied to the wall and now it's looking good ( http://netonardin.deviantart.com/art/I- … -348150188 ), well you solve my question, thanks a lot!
