PCSX2: Intel HD4000

has anybody had any luck with getting pcsx2 to function under the latest iteration of intel's integrated graphics? i've set it up under wondows, and it can manage less intensive games (katamari damacy, persona 3, etcetera) just fine. however, i haven't been able to get any video whatsoever using any of the packages from aur. is it hopeless?

On Windows you most likely used GSDX graphics plugin, which is the most compatibile one, but Windows-exclusive, that's why it worked well. Which one did you set up on Linux? Did PCSX show any error messages in the terminal?

Re: PCSX2: Intel HD4000

@shmibs: I have Intel HD Graphics, and similar experience - works well in Windows using GSdx in Direct3D mode, not much luck in Linux using the ZZogl plugin. That was a long time ago though, but it seems the situation hasn't changed.

@kaszak696: GSdx isn't exclusive to Windows. But the Linux version requires, get this, opengl 4.2. Only the blobs provide that, open source drivers don't. GSdx also has a software mode, that one should work well. Keyword "should" smile

Re: PCSX2: Intel HD4000

i've tried all three that came along with the package (gsdx with opengl/software rendering, zzogl pg, and zzogl pg cg) with no luck.  gsdx hangs, even if i choose software rendering, and the other two alternate between crashing instantly and just not displaying anything.

Heh, so i'm far behind the news, last time i used pcsx2 GSDX was DirectX 9 and 10 only.
