I do NOT think this is related to pacman but am unclear where else to post. I have a system that cannot update to:
*** Error in `udevadm': corrupted double-linked list: 0x0a130700 ***
This is triggered when systemd attempts to update to v197-4.
Booting from a liveCD and chrooting into the target does not help. Running bad-blocks on the partition now... any other ideas are welcome.

EDIT: No idea wtf was the problem. Nuked the root partition and untarred last week's backup then updated with no errors. Go figure.
