Ipod Classic(80G) Sync Problem

According to the wiki, i mount ipc and check the firewaregid and add the line "FirewareGid: 0x****************"  to SysInfo successfully. As for Application i chose Banshee, but it just didnt recognize my ipod. And i tried with other applications like gtkpod and rhthmbox. But none of them can recognizt the device. I reboot a couple of times, which doesnt help either.  I have libgpod installed. I just have no idea, what else i could do to make it work? Does any one have the same problem? I will post sth if its needed. Thank u for ur help!
What i did to mount my ipc:
sudo mount -o gid=users,fmask=113,dmask=002 /dev/sdb1 /mnt/ipod
P.S. I recently got the firmware  of my ipod updated with itunes under windows to get rid of the experimental firmware Rockbox(it suceeded) and i notice that the updated firmware from Apple is quite new actually, will it be the reason?
