Hi,
The Linux Kernel 3.7 is out for quite some time now, but not yet in [core].
I didn't managed to find an answer to that in forums or mailing-lists: Is there something specific that holds the new kernel in [testing]?
Thanks
Charles

Yes. If there was no reason it wouldn't be in [testing]. If you're in hurry for 3.7 you can always compile it yourself. But trust me, if you don't know what you're doing and/or 3.7 doesn't fix something particular for you (i.e. if you just 'want it' because it's 'new') it's just better to wait until devs decide it's ready.
Also: search "3.7" for possible issues in bug tracker

The AUR contains many PKGBUILD of this version if ABS scares you. See my sig for an unofficial repo containing prebuilt linux-ck packages and/or search linux-ck on the wiki if you don't know what it is.

Thanks guys, but I know all of these.
I am actually interested to know the main reason(s) for holding 3.7, and eventually if I am concerned by them as 3.7 would be useful to me.
Thanks

I didn't see anything, but a good place to look is arch-dev-public.

I think it's because of intel video problems...

Is there a way we can scan all the bug reports for 3.7.... I too think that it has been too long in testing and would like to know what problems to anticipate, Are there any major changes?

Dude, there are currently 5 bug reports against the linux package (any version). Use your eyes and brain to scan through them (link I posted several posts up).
