[SOLVED] VLC Take snapshot outputs corrupted pictures

Since the last update of ffmpeg, taking a snapshot with VLC results in unreadable pictures. I tried downgrading vlc but it didn't help, then I looked in pacman.log and narrowed it down to ffmpeg.

Downgrading to ffmpeg-1:0.11.1-1 fixes it but it's a dirty fix.

Is there any other way to fix this?

I fixed it by selecting "jpg" in Preferences > Video options > Snapshots > Format

It seems png does not work but jpg does.
