Re: No output sound [pulseaudio]

I seem to have resolved this issue by launching pavucontrol, and under the Output Devices tab, clicking on the mute icon and adjusting the volume. When I rebooted, the sound was not muted and the volume was at the level I had set it to. Perhaps the solution is as simple using pavucontrol rather than the audio mixer. smile

Unfortunatly this doesn't work for me. Did anybody else try this solution?

It doesn't work for me too.

I already have submitted a bug report at freedesktop.org (see previous post) and i'm waiting something to happen (nothing until now).

I think that could be useful if all people having this issue could "subscribe" (add to CC list) to that bug report: maybe if programmers see more people interested, they can take this into account and try find a solution earlier.

Re: No output sound [pulseaudio]

Hi, there is an answer in upstream bug report that fixed the bug for me, try it !

If you did not register on cc list for it, here it is :
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59217

How can I attach the patch?

This worked for me too.

In summary:

as root, edit the file /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-speaker-always.conf

around line 30, add the lines marked as "ADDED":

...
[Jack Headphone]
state.plugged = no
state.unplugged = unknown

# -------  ADDED -----------------------
[Jack Front Headphone]
state.plugged = no
state.unplugged = unknown
# -------  ADDED -----------------------

[Element Hardware Master]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = all
override-map.2 = all-left,all-right
...

around line 130, comment/delete line marked as "REMOVED":

...
[Element Bass Speaker]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = lfe
override-map.2 = lfe,lfe

# ------- REMOVED ------------------------
#required-any = any
# ------- REMOVED ------------------------

[Element CLFE]
switch = mute
volume = merge
override-map.1 = all-center
override-map.2 = all-center,lfe
...

then reboot.

Thanks to all.
