[SOLVED] lzo2 Signature Invalid (OpenVPN Installation)

While trying to install OpenVPN, the installation of dependency lzo2 fails with:

error: lzo2: signature from "Tobias Powalowski <tobias.powalowski@googlemail.com>" is invalid

Through search I found one instance where this was fixed by redownloading the package.

I have cleared the cache, redownloaded the package, and still get the same error.

I have tried

pacman-key --refresh-keys
~
gpg: Total number processed: 66
gpg: unchanged: 66

I have also tried manually updating the key with

pacman-key -r 7EDF681F
~
gpg: requesting key 7EDF681F from hkp server pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: key 7EDF681F: "Tobias Powalowski <tobias.powalowski@googlemail.com>" not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: unchanged: 1

As well as localy signing it again with

pacman-key --lsign-key 7EDF681F

All this has been in vain and I would really like to successfully install OpenVPN some time in the near future. Any advice?

Try changing mirrors, "pacman -Syyu" and then try again.

Same error with two different mirrorst. I even deleted the .db files altogether, rebuilt them under a different mirror and still the same errors.

Just tried to clear the cache, turn off sig checking altogether, rebuild the .db files again:

:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/lzo2-2.06-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (checksum)).

Marking this as SOLVED. I guess it sort of it. I re-installed Arch alltogether and now I can install it no problem.

Reinstalling wasn't a solution.  The problem must have been with the downloaded package.  Are you sure you removed it from the cache (including any .part files?).

I used pacman -Sc to clear the cache. If that doesn't clear out the .part files then that may be the cause.
