Hi all, first at all sorry my poor english. I already have install my new Arch Linux, but i have a problem when I try to use the iteractive method to add a new user. When I type the command "adduser" the output is: "-bash: adduser: no se encontro la orden" i guess in english it means: "-bash: adduser: command not found". Why doesn't it work? Thank you!

It is useradd.
I've been reading "Beginners' Guide in Spanish". And, there is, just a typo that say 'adduser'. But the command line is ok. If you get a problem alike, don get stuck, try to search a little more in the wiki or Google.
[The same in Spanish]
Tienes que usar useradd.
He estado leyendo la "Beginners' Guide in Spanish". Y, allí solo aparece un error tipográfico que dice 'adduser'. Pero la línea de comandos está bien. Si alguna vez tienes un problema similar, no te quedes atascado, intenta buscar un poco más en el wiki (español e inglés) y en Google.
Edit: (reading Ploub post)
So, it wasn't a typo. It was another command. Maybe no updated in "Beginners Guide" text, but in command line.

adduser used to be included in the shadow package but appears to have been dropped recently. Shame, I found it useful

You can still install it from the AUR.

Does anyone know why the adduser script was taken from shadow?

See bug #32893.

Well dammit, now I need to learn how to use the useradd command.
Probably a good thing overall.

Read the man pages, also if you followed the Beginners Guide it uses useradd afaik.

The BG does use useradd: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … gular_user
And there is a wiki topic on users and groups: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Users_and_Groups
