I have installed arch linux on my laptop that has two gpus (Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series and Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series).
They both show up when I run lspci.
I was wondering if there is anyway to see which one is running and to switch between the two.
I am using the open source driver (xf86-video-ati) and KDE it matters.

This should get you started.

I know this thread is a little old but I have the exact same graphic cards in my laptop and I haven't been able to get switching between two AMD/ATI cards working. I'm using the open source drivers as well as I have had issues with the proprietary drivers.

I'm going to bump this thread just in case anybody knows how to switch between two AMD cards or at least disable one of them.
$ lspci | grep VGA
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI RS880M [Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series]
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Manhattan [Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series]
Update: Turns out I'm an idiot and you can turn one off with vgaswitcheroo just fine.

Could you be more specific in what worked for you?
