i am thinking of redecoratin my home, and I know there isa design program for winidows called home architect
I was wondering if there exists a similar program for Linux?
I am also looking fo a 3dstudio max clone for Linux

Not sure about the design program, but Blender is an open source equivalent to 3dstudio max.

ah, yes, blender...I have tried it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the "classic" 4 plan-view....

http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Blender_Us … 224.0.html look for "Configuring the screen your way". There is also some ready ones in drop down menu rigth from the 'help' button, you can add your owns there too.

now I might be able to use blender....only might...I am used to 3dsmax, so it is quite a change....plus it was a few years ago .....
