This evening I wanted to fetch some PKGBUILDs, but I got a strange error which
I haven't seen before:
$ yaourt -G glibc
==> Download glibc sources
@ERROR: chdir failed
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1516)
[Receiver=3.0.9]
x nscd.tmpfiles
x locale.gen.txt
x locale-gen
x PKGBUILD
x nscd.service
x glibc.install
ABSROOT=$PWD abs core/glibc also fails. It turns out that something weird has
happened to rysnc.archlinux.org. rsync.archlinux.org::abs is inaccessible,
trying to accesss any core, extra yields:
rsync rsync.archlinux.org::core
@ERROR: access denied to core from <my hostname> (<my ip>)
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1516)
[Receiver=3.0.9]
So, when is this going to get "fixed"?

No ETA yet other than "soon", sorry. Get the PKGBUILDs of the abs tars from your favorite mirror instead (see abs -t).

It is working again, thanks. I wonder what happened though.

We moved to another server. Rsync is still really slow atm.
