[Solved] i3-wm install throws invalid or corrupted package error.

Recent attempt to install i3-wm throws this error:

resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...

Targets (3): libev-4.11-1 xcb-util-wm-0.3.9-1 i3-wm-4.4-2

Total Installed Size: 1.32 MiB

Proceed with installation? [Y/n] y
(3/3) checking package integrity [######################] 100%
error: i3-wm: signature from "Thorsten Töpper <atsutane@freethoughts.de>" is unknown trust
error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature))
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

So I did the following:

1) cleaned out cache: pacman -Sc && rm /var/lib/pacman/sync/*
2) updated mirrorlist to get most up-to-date mirror
3) pacman -Syy i3-wm

But got same error again. I have flagged i3-wm as out of date. Any ideas - I have been to the IRC channel and other than above no ideas.

I got the same error a few minutes ago, but associated with a different package (ndiswrapper).  Don't know what to do about it either though...

You need to do this:
- Clean those packages from pacman cache.
- Refresh signatures with "pacman-key --refresh-keys"
- Install again

Excellent - thanks! That did it.

Thanks.
Currently the wikipage suggests to delete and reset all the keys instead. Maybe the article should be edited.
EDIT: Sorry, now i just look stupid.

What's the point of posting here? It's a wiki, either edit the article or open a discussion about it on its talk page.
