Is there a way to play MIDI files with Totem ?

I'm using GNOME 3.6.

When I'm clicking on a MIDI file, Totem opens and gives me this error message : "The playback of this movie requires a audio/midi decoder plugin which is not installed".
I know MIDI playback works with VLC or command-line timidity, but I would like to know if there is a way to do this with Totem, since VLC doesn't work well on my computer, and launching a terminal for playing a MIDI file can become kind of tedious.

I'm not sure.

My initial thought was, do you have timidity setup as a MIDI daemon, as described on the Arch Wiki?

Also, a quick Internet search tells me you need the gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins packages installed. I don't know if that's true or not. hmm
