Error with kernel 3.7.x.x

Hi all

My system is Arch+Xfce 4.10 The day before yesterday I tried to install the kernel from linux-3.6.11-1-x86_64 to linux-3.7.3-1-x86_64 and when I reboot my laptop I can enter the session without problems, but I can not use the keyboard or mouse, they are simply blocked, I think the machine does not freeze, because I can see the network and other notifications when starting these applications, I can not simply move the pointer or use the keyboard (CAPS LOCK is locked as NUM LOCK) I downgrade the kernel to 3.6 and the problem gone, today I try the new kernel version 3.7.4.1 and the problem appear..

This could be  a bug in the kernel?

I have same problem and same line in Log with kernel 3.7.X.X

(II) config/udev: Adding input device Genius Optical Mouse (/dev/input/mouse0)
No input driver specified, ignoring this device.
This device may have been added with another device file.

It's not depending on DE or DM, I did try twm, pekwm, kdm all same. It's evdev/X problem

I tried it now with 3.4.7 and it's working also i deleted other unused xf86-input drivers. It takes me about hour of time to did it, but somehow it's working now with 3.7.4 smile

Today same bug appear again. Some bug but nothink in log. Any help? I'm using ps2 keyboard and usb mouse so it's not problem wit usb. System is fully upgraded. Kernel 3.7.4-1. Xorg-server 1.13.2

*maybe* solved

I had same problem on my laptop: external usb mouse not working, not in console and neither in Xorg, while synaptic mouse was always working fine.
I had same entry in Xorg.0.log ("No input driver specified, ignoring this device") just after the log stating the mouse was apparently correctly recognised.
But noticed the very same msg for the Synaptic mouse that was insted working correctly. 

Then noticed that trying to mount an external usb disk, also didnt work at all, and since i was on battery, i started to suspect some  powersave setting.
Trying to connect the laptop to AC, made the mouse work again :-)

=> Changing USB auto suspend seems fixed the problem for me:

edit file:   /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/usb-autosuspend.conf
and disable USB autosuspend:

#CONTROL_USB_AUTOSUSPEND="auto"
CONTROL_USB_AUTOSUSPEND="0"

it worked for me. It might be good to know if this was the root cause.
