W200 without hotplug

Hello,
I've go a W200 card on a Compaq evo N610C
Using a kernel 2.6.14-archck
All is working perfetcly but i would not use hotplug because it's quite slowly at boot and a lot of person are not for hotplug.
So i have put the modules in rc.conf and all is working but i need to do Fn+F12 to switch on the card. With hotplug the card was switch on alone. Is it possible to activate this card without hotplug.
How hotplug acivate the card?
Is it possible to use something to do the Fn+F12 for me.
Is it possible to use hal + dbus instead.
