Nouveau screen corruption on MacBook Air 3,2

Dear everyone,
I find myself in an vulnerable position to ask for your help.

I have recently started using Arch on my late 2010 macbook air (3,2).
With GRUB2-EFI and nouveau, I am getting some strange kind of screen corruption of "running lines" on the right edge of the screen.
Please see the video for a better idea.

I have tried quite a few things, including:
1) Installing fbdev, as per this thread, to no avail.
2) Trying a clean BIOS install in order to get NVIDIA drivers, which results in my kernel not seeing the root partition (separate question altogether).
3) Installing the NVIDIA drivers on the EFI installation, which results in a black screen with X started, where all the other virtual consoles are black too.

The problem appears after hibernation (closing the lid) or connecting an external screen via the mini display port.
Xorg log is here
Please let me know what relevant information can be posted to help to resolve this issue.

Many thanks,
mbs

Hi. Can you tell me how you installed Arch on MBA 3,2? I am stuck at

:: Mounting '/dev/disk/by-label/ARCH_201301' to '/run/archiso/bootmnt'

during the boot process and it stays like this forever.

I had the same problem with the latest release of the Arch installation medium.
Have a shot with ArchBoot, which mounts successfully and completes the installation without trouble.
Otherwise, try an older version of Arch, anything after October 2012 should work.

Thank you, ArchBoot seems to be loading.
