[Solved] Nvidia freeze on Asus G75VW

I have an Asus G75VW laptop with Arch Linux Kernel-CK x64 and the official Nvidia (CK) driver installed. (Newest package versions as of yesterday, no testing repos.) When I run startx, the Nvidia logo flashes briefly, and then the screen turns black and the backlight turns off. I am unable to see anything on screen after this no matter what I do, though the system itself is not frozen, because pressing the power button at this point prompts Arch Linux into a graceful shutdown.

The graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M.

What other information can I provide to resolve this?

Edit: It's because ck-launch-session didn't exist.
