Hey guys,
Can't install gnome-terminal. This is a fresh install of arch with X11 and awesome. Haven't had any problems with installing packages until now.
Here are the error codes I'm getting:
"Unable to autolaunch a dbuz-damon without a $Display for x11 (I got this when trying to install from the base install)
From awesome I get this:
(gconftool-2:16603): GConf-WARNING **: Client failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: The remote application did not send a reply, the message bus sercurity policy blocked the reply, the reply time out expired, or the network connection was broken.
I've tried pacman -Sy and that's about it.
Thanks!

***Update***
In the package database I noticed gnome-terminal is flagged, not sure if that has anything to do with my problem. I just recently came over to arch and it seems that most people use other terminals like aterm, so I installed that instead to avoid any headaches.

. Don't do that. Do pacman -Syu.

Can you please explain how those two commands differ?
Thanks!

-Sy simply updates the repo/package lists. -Syu does the same and then proceeds to upgrade the system.

Thanks for that, anonymous. I read through the man pages but your explanation helped.
