Power management issue on Thinkpad x220

I'm running archlinux on x200. The only power management package I'm using is laptop-mode-tools. It works pretty well at most of the time, but occasionally, especially for the first cold startup, it seems to stop working.

The laptop fan is consistently running at a high speed(3500 rpm), and Powertop shows

Audio codec hwC0D3: Intel usage 100%
Audio codec hwC0D0: Conexant 100%

This leads to overheating problem and the battery life is much shorter than normal.
A reboot can bring everything to normal.
Since it doesn't occur every time, I don't really have any idea what causes this problem.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Re: Power management issue on Thinkpad x220

When it happens again, please check if your GPU is 100% active (with powertop for instance) and read this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=150743

Re: Power management issue on Thinkpad x220

The problem is partially solved now. It seems to be a bug in the kernel.

But it should be already fixed in kernel 3.7, right? I'm using 3.7.5.
