Wireless Connection Slows to a Crawl After a Few Searches.

Hello Arch Forums. I have been experiencing some recent slow wireless problems. When I first start up the internet works fun but after just a few searches it seems the connection slows to a crawl and then fails entirely. I have been using Network Manager and it hasn't given me any problems.

I have an Asus laptop with a Realtek adapter:

02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter (rev 01)
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8151 v2.0 Gigabit Ethernet (rev c0)

It seems that there is no RTL8188CE module in the Arch Repositories so the module that is used is RTL8192CE

rtl8192ce 50213 0
rtlwifi 62133 1 rtl8192ce
kvm 384721 1 kvm_intel
rtl8192c_common 36320 1 rtl8192ce

I decided to try loading a different module. The rtl8192cu to see if that gave me any better results. So I created a rtl8192ce.conf file in /etc/modprobe.d and blacklisted it. The created a rtl8192cu.conf file in /etc/modules-load.d to load this module on boot instead. When I booted up the computer though I had no internet connection at all. Obviously I loaded the module incorrectly somehow. I'm not even sure if using a different module is the way to go. I would rather not switch to wicd because it seems to drop connections very often with the rtl8192ce module. Should I switch to netcfg and configure the wireless manually?
