SCIM/FCITX with wine

Has anyone managed to input text into wine using SCIM/FCITX? Specifically I'd like to be able to type Korean characters into Starcraft II run in wine.

When I use SCIM, I am presented with only English options (Korean disappears). Korean works fine in other applications (e.g. Chromium).

When I use FCITX, the option to type korean appears as normal after CTRL+SPACE, but nothing I type appears in Starcraft II.

Edit: s/wicd/SCIM/

So please adjust the thread title accordingly.
