Enemy Territory

When i join some servers i get "md5 missmatch on et.x86 (lenth = 2048)"

I've removed the file and reinstalled ET with no luck?

Anyone have a fix for this?

Re: Enemy Territory

The error that you're getting appears to be caused by the server which is running the Punkbuster MD5tool and this is used to check for modified or missing installation files on the client machine so if the md5 of any client files the server is monitoring do not match exactly with their list of md5sum'd files then you usually end up getting kicked.

If you're absolutely sure your ET installer is OK and that you're using the latest version then the only real fix is to use a different server or email the server admin.

I don't know if you are using the installer from AUR or not but I installed the game directly from the file et-linux-2.60.x86.run and installed it into /usr/local/games and it's works fine so you could try it that way and see if it helps.

Try this link for more detailed info.

Re: Enemy Territory

I tried to download the et-file from another server, and now it works

For more detail, go to the comments @ AUR
