Hi,
I downloaded the latest installation iso and burned it to a cd and set my computer to boot from cd rom. I then followed the beginners installation guide on the wiki and installed arch. However when I rebooted, my computer gets stuck at verifying dmi pool data when trying to boot. I have tried booting from the hard drive with the new arch installation, from the arch cd I used for the installation, a windows 7 install cd and an ubuntu live usb stick, but everything gives me verifying dmi pool data.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I just tried unplugging the hard drive sata cable from the motherboard and the computer gets past verifying dmi pool data and boots in to the arch install disc. But when I plug the hard drive back in again it starts hanging at verifying dmi pool data again ...

If your computer gets stuck at "verifying dmi pool data", it could be a BIOS configuration issue. See:

It seems that I forgot to create a UEFI boot partition and the computer just hung after verifying dmi pool data, but without giving any further output to signify a problem. Strange that this stopped me booting from cd and usb though ...
