Can anybody send me a list with all packages on the CD ?
I do not have a connection to internet, and I don't need latest
packages (they may be reasonably old), but I need certain packages
(not very rare but some distros do not include them)
So I'm wondering if I can survive with packages that are already
on that CD, or should I better create a custom install cd
(base ISO + needed packages in some dir, from which I can install later)
In this case what also should be included besides the packages so
I could use pacman?
I know it's kind of stupid questions but i REALLY can't afford
to download 650Mb just to see what it's inside.

I'd suggest to download the base cd & all the packages you want to install from current, extra & (maybe...) unstable. Install base, then 'pacman -Sy' to update, then copy the pkgs you fetched in /var/cache/pacman/pkg & 'pacman -Su' to upgrade. Then 'pacman -S foo' to install the pkgs you want.

Thanks for the answer, but it may be unnecessary if everything is already on the big ISO. I'd like to see the package list.
It would be easier for me just to boot from CD and to have everything in the installer.

Ok, then check it at http://www.kegep.tuc.gr/~manolis/archli … _pkgs_list.

Or you could have gone to the archlinux website and clicked on the 0.5 Nova link. That's got your entire package list without having to download a big cd.
