Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

When you show "it shows ..." what is it?  When you say you click them, in what program are you clicking?

See the wireless wiki page, and follow the manual connection steps there and report which step failed and include any error output.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

If you can see networks in network manager, then your card is supported.  Following the manual methods in that wiki page will help pinpoint the problem.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

Please post the output of sudo iwlist scan

If you do not have iwlist installed, find out the name of your wireless using ip link.  Mine is wlan0.

Then, post the output of iw wlan0 scan     but substitute the name of your wireless.
Then, tell us the name of the ESSID to which you are trying to connect.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

You card looks like it is working.  Please verify thst you've installed wpa_supplicant; you need that for wpa2 which is used by your AP.

Also, that you have followed the advice in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager.  Especially the section on Polkit.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

i found solution on Turkish forum.
thanks to @hsngrms link:http://archtr.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=836

Firstly, my wireless card is not rtl8111/8168B. It is ethernet card.
My wireless card is
02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 130

solution:
uninstall the networkmanager and remove its service from systemctl
install netcfg and add its service to systemctl

type this command to see what is your wireless name

iwconfig

mine is :

wlp2s0    IEEE 802.11bgn  ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed  Access Point: Not-Associated   Tx-Power=15 dBm
          Retry  long limit:7   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:off

lo        no wireless extensions.

enp3s0    no wireless extensions.

you can see name is wlp2s0

edit the /etc/conf.d/netcfg file with nano

nano /etc/conf.d/netcfg

and change wlan0 with your card name.

open terminal and type this command

wifi-menu

you can connect now.

if you want to set some settings
create a file in /etc/network.d/
maybe after you connect a wifi network, it already created.
if not create a file
and write this in it:

CONNECTION='wireless'
DESCRIPTION='wifidescription'
INTERFACE='wlp2s0'
SECURITY='wpa'
ESSID='wifi name'
KEY='password'
IP='dhcp'

if you want to use static ip:

CONNECTION='wireless'
DESCRIPTION='DESCRIPTION'
INTERFACE='wlp2s0'
SECURITY='wpa'
ESSID=wifi name
IP='static'
ADDR='ip'
NETMASK='mask'
GATEWAY='gateway'
DNS='dns'
KEY=password

MAYBE YOUR SETTINGS BE DIFFERENT SUCHAS not wlp0s OR SUCH AS NOT WPA etc.

important:
if you want to connect this wifi every system start, add it to netcfg file :

NETWORKS=(MUST BE PROFILE NAME WHICH YOU CREATED BEFORE IN /etc/network.d/)

after this, it will connect automaticaly every system start.

Now it is ok.

Sorry for my bad English. I hope, it will help someone who has trouble with wifi
because i dont have this problem befor. It is new. On same pc.

Thnks for your answer.  ewaller and Trilby
have a nice day.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

Two things.  First, I am glad you have it working.  Please edit your first post and add [SOLVED] to the thread title.
Second, I thought that you were trying to get it to work with Networkmanger..  It looks like you decided not to go that way.

Re: [SOLVED] Cannot connect wifi

it is not important for me if it is network manager or netcfg.
networkmanager has a gui and user friendly yes.
but like netcfg and keep using it smile
