Does anybody know if there are any screenshots of what KDE should look like if you click on the "i" icon to view queued notifications in the system tray? (I think it is the tray - the thing which has icons showing the status of some running programmes.) If I click on it, I get a rather ugly matt grey with a glossy black border whereas I used to get something much less startling (all black probably). This is very different from the appearance of the notifications as they pop up and of the summary I see if I just hover over the "i". I also do not have a button to dismiss all notifications in the queue in one go whereas I used to have this at the top.
I don't remember doing anything to configure this in 4.9 but I did have to chuck my plasma config away after the upgrade to 4.10 so it is possibly a configuration issue and I've just forgotten. I just wanted to see what it should look like before I go hunting too much further (or to know it is an "improvement" which is always possible, I suppose).

Well, it is matt grey to me with a black border. *shrugs*

Thanks. Guess they've uglified it. (It takes up more space and I can't dismiss all notifications in one go. Oh well.)

It does not take more space for me and I can dismiss all notifications in one go. Also it is better placed.

Maybe it's just the theme. You could try a different one. I have caledonia and have that grayish background and black border, too. Everything is matt, not glossy. I kinda like it. More than it the one before - always problems with placing and scaling.
