AUR and libtool slay

Hello.
I know that the main packages were libtool-slayed recently, and so I was wondering what does the actual "slaying" process is, so I can use it in my own packages.

Is it just removing the .la files from the package and make sure it still works, or is there more to it?

Yeah. that's about it, removing the .la files
