Status of CaptiveNTFS?

What's the status of CaptiveNTFS?  I followed a bunch of links and it seems like it has to be linked to a bunch of unmaintained packages.  Does it work on larege hard drives? (160GB && 250GB)  And does FAT32 work with that large of a partition?
