suspend error

I get this weird error message, whenever my I suspend my laptop.

dpm_run_callback(): pnp_bus_resume+0x0/0x80 returns -19
PM: Device 00:0a failed to resume: error -19


Has anyone seen this before? I have found almost nothing online about it, except this, which looks kind of similar:

Usually everything works fine, despite the error, but sometimes I cannot resume from sleep.

Edit: When I hibernate I get a

PM: Device 00:0a failed to resume: error -19

and the laptop does a full shut-down

00:0a isn't listed in your lspci, this may indicate missing drivers.

Once tpm, tpm_bios, tpm_tis and tpm modules are unloaded, suspend/resume
works.

Apparently it is related to your trackpad. You can add i8042.nopnp to your kernel parameters.

I had the same error on my new laptop, so I searched for corresponding issues: someone had gone to the trouble to rebuild their kernel to debug it and posted the fix.

I've tried searching again, but failed (no longer as motivated now I have it working)...
