Hello, I wonder whether it is possible to make a mixed dock-taskbar exactly like in Win 7/OS X on Fluxbox or WindowMaker?
There are some points I want to achieve:
[DUNNO?] 1) I need it all to be only on one vertical strip. (no WindowMaker's "icons, icons everywhere..." behaviour)
[CHECK!] 2) Display workspace number/name in the top (done with clip).
[CHECK!] 3) Ability to pin apps (done with clip/dock).
[DUNNO?] 4) Minimize window to icon on dock (to the same icon if it is pinned)
[DUNNO?] 5) Single click on the dock to launch/activate/minimize app.
[CHECK!] 6) Clock + battery on the bottom.
Eventually, I really liked the style of WindowMaker, but couldn't manage to set it to mimic Win 7 taskbar or OS X dock.
Any advice?
Thanks.

Do you not have google in your area? There are numerous docks for 'nix - most of which have detailed instructions on how to "OSX-ify" them here

No, I don't want a separate software for this, but try to do this only with what WM provides. In my example Fluxbox or Window Maker.
In fluxbox I don't know how to place toolbar vertically (labels remain rotated by 90 degrees and icons are tiny).
In Window Maker I got rid of "clip" because I don't really understand its purpose.
Window Maker does exactly one half of a job: displays vertical dock with pinned apps in it.
Unpinned apps icons however are located on another row. And the other half of a job is to combine these two docks together into a single row like it is in Win 7 or OS X.
Goal is to do this with native Window Maker dock.

Why? I mean why do you want to do it with "native Window Maker dock" if Window Maker doesn't do what you want it to do, which seems to be what you've said?

Because I liked the style!
And it does have Win 7 split screen feature.
Let's see maybe there's a Window Maker dockapp for it...

Look at me! I'm going to actually answer your questions! (I'm glaring at you, cfr )
[DUNNO?] 1) I need it all to be only on one vertical strip. (no WindowMaker's "icons, icons everywhere..." behaviour)
Window Maker can't minimize to the dock. The closest thing you can do is minimize to a column of icons right next to the dock.
I personally like the default dock area and miniwindow area, although I almost never minimize windows.
[DUNNO?] 4) Minimize window to icon on dock (to the same icon if it is pinned)
This is called "hiding". Other than that it's not possible.
[DUNNO?] 5) Single click on the dock to launch/activate/minimize app.
This is an option on the last tab of the Window Maker preferences application.

Thanks, drcouzelis!
But the option for single click doesn't seem to be working.

No need to glare.
But just saying "I want to do it with tool X" invites only one kind of answer. Saying "I think I want to do it with X because X has features a, b and c" invites alternatives the OP might not be aware of.

I'll stay with fluxbox

fluxbox has some tiling features now that might help you have the window placement you want.
You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

You may try to use Clip rather than Dock; disable dock, in Clip options check 'Autoattract icons', uncheck 'Autocollapse'; in WPrefs, set 'Disable miniwindows' and get used to hiding windows instead of minimizing them.
