I just upgraded to KDE from4.9.5 to 4.10 yesterday and I noticed that I no longer get thumbnails on folders that contain video files. Folders with images still generate thumbnails on the folders. Can anyone else confirm this? This bug was present back in KDE 4.7.x.

Works for me I'm using kdemultimedia-ffmpegthumbs, it has to be enabled in dolphin's options.

I'm using that one to and I have it enabled in dolphin's options. Previews of video files work fine for me but the upgrade broke it the ability to previews on the folders that contain video files like in this pic

for image files works fine still.
EDIT:
This is the old bug:

Nobody else is having this issue with previews from videos not being displayed on the folders? I have also tried to switch to mplayerthumbs instead and it doesn't work there either.

I have not had Previews for Videos with 4.9.5 either. I tired every thumbnailer but without luck.
Dotslash could you point me to where in Dolphin I have to enable thumbnails for videos?
It works with images, when I start the Preview Mode from the top bar.
I have looked through the Dolphin config but have not found anything related to that.
EDIT: Found it. But doesn't show a selection for videos have to reinstall thumbnailer.
EDIT2: Works now. Now only need a PDF Thumbnailer. I'm linking Dolphin more every day!
EDIT3: kdegraphics-thumbnailers Dolphin Settings -> General -> Previews Tab. Click everything you want.
Looks amazing now with big icons.

Works now after the switch from qt to qt4 seems some library needed to be rebuild. Don't know what library...

And now it is broken again... Anybody else having issues?

No video thumbnails here either.
EDIT: In Dolphin, click "Control" --> "Configure Dolphin" --> "General" (the last left icon) --> "Previews" and check "Video files [your thumbnailer here]".
So, thumbnails are indeed working here.

There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

In my case I went to Previews as FernandoBasso has explained and I found out that I have two Video Files thumbs creators:
- Video Files (MPlayerThumbs)
- Video Files (ffmpegthumbs)
I just unchecked one of them, in my case MPlayerThumbs (so I left ffmpegthumbs checked), and the previews went back working again.
