I've been using linux-git for a while now without any real issues. However, rc6 and rc7 are troubling me.
If I boot with either, I first encounter an hda-intel problem (no codecs initialised), but since I don't actually use hda-intel it's not a major problem (I used to not even build it, but reverted to stock arch linux config to eliminate a different issue entirely). However, this is followed by ATA errors that prevent booting. I can boot fine with the Arch stock kernel, and the git kernel is built using the same .config, suggesting a regression in the latest kernel sources. Has anyone else encountered this and, more to the point, found a solution?

Not yet - I was trying to eliminate an Arch specific issue since the issue appeared spontaneously between kernel rebuilds, not directly after one.
