I have a laptop with a touchscreen and a Synaptic ClickPad. The touchscreen is working fine, and for a while so was the clickpad. I suspeded my computer last week, and when it woke back up it displayed a message saying that the Touchpad had been disabled, and the touchpad was no longer working. I checked synclient, which report that the touchpad was not disabled, and I tried my keyboard's function key for the touchpad, which causes a message to toggle saying "Touchpad enabled/disabled", but the touchpad remains disabled. I attempted rebooting, and reinstalling xf86-input-synaptics, but neither seems to help.
I haven't seen anything weird in my Xorg.0.log, but here it is anyway

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is a config file was written to that disables the touchpad. I'd start with a grep -ir of /etc for terms like sync and touch just to see if something interesting turns up.
edit: have you checked dmesg for anything relevant?

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

I haven't seen anything relevant in dmesg, and grepping through /etc returned nothing interesting.
Edit: Just did a kernel update, and on reboot, the only things that mention the touchpad are

I don't see a problem with that...
