[Solved] Is nvidia + intel dual screen possible? - No(ish)

I have 2x 550TI nvidia cards and intel i7 CPU. I want to have one screen for possible gaming and 3d stuff, other one would be for 2d stuff. I have correct BusID's set in xorg.conf, but I think it requires both nvidia and intel drivers to be installed for it work, which is not possible..? Second monitor has signal (DVI) but screen is black.

Not possible because intel and nvidia depend on different copies of LibGL? There is probably some hackery you could do with LD_LIBRARY_PATH or rpath but since you only want the intel screen to support 2d you could probably get around it by compiling xf86-video-intel with "--disable-dri".

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

I thought so, but instead of hackery I am thinking of getting a new card, AMD this time.
