[SOLVED] HDMI port not detected since sometime in the past week

I had been using an external monitor via HDMI with my Dell XPS 14Z for a long time. When I booted up this morning, the ports on the laptop were no longer being detected. The last time I shut down the computer was last weekend, so some update in the past week has broken my setup.

I tried downgrading xf86-video-intel from 2.21.0-1 to a couple versions that came out last week (2.20.19-1 and 2.20.16-1) and then reboot, but it didn't make a difference.

xrandr used to show HDMI1 and DP1 ports detected, in addition to the built-in screen, LVDS1 (which still works fine). Here is the current output:

$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1366 x 768, maximum 8192 x 8192
LVDS1 connected 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 309mm x 174mm
   1366x768       60.0*+   40.0
   1024x768       60.0
   800x600        60.3     56.2
   640x480        59.9
VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

... and the command that normally brings the external monitor online:

xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1920x1080 --output LVDS1 --mode 1366x768 --left-of HDMI1

/etc/X11/xorg.conf (used to work perfectly, generated by X -configure, I believe):

I'm not sure what else to try, so any help would be greatly appreciated. One thing to note is that this laptop uses NVIDIA's Optimus thingy, which doesn't play so nicely with Linux. But I had been getting along just fine so far with the Intel drivers, since the HDMI port is connected to the Intel graphics chip.

Re: [SOLVED] HDMI port not detected since sometime in the past week

The issue seems to have been solved by downgrading xf86-video-intel to 20.20.19-1. Not sure why it didn't work the first time.

Same issue here with xf86-video-intel 2.21.6-1. I'll try to downgrade it as well
