This morning I did a -Syu and was presented with the option to update my hpijs with hplip.
When I replied Y, I got this message from pacman:
error: cannot resolve dependencies for "kdemultimedia":
"akode" is not in the package set
I then tried to install akode by itself... still got the same error. I then tried to upgrade kdemultimedia on its own... still got the same error.
So then I do a -Syu without updating hpijs and I still get the same error. Seems as though pacman won't upgrade past the kdemultimedia / akode problem.
Any suggestions how I could successfully upgrade my system files?

Okay, I looked at the packages available, and it seems as though there are two kdemultimedia packages (one in Extra, one in Testing). The more recent one, in Testing, lists akode in the package list. The one in Extra, doesn't.
Any way I can tell pacman to use the package in Testing, rather than in Extra? Or is this not the solution to the problem?

Ohhh...kay. :?: Now it's working.
Did I catch the packages in mid-update or something? Seems as though KDE 3.5 is now being installed, too.

Yes, probably the mirror was still syncing when you did the upgrade.

Thanks!
Got a few errors from KDE packages, so pacman didn't upgrade anything as a result. To be on the safe side, I disallowed upgrades from the Testing repository.... for now.
