What is your favorite linux quote?

I've seen a lot of good linux quotes lately, one of my favorite I found here, and it reads

"I remarked to Dennis [Ritchie] that easily half
the code I was writing in Multics was error recovery code.
He said, "We left all that stuff out [of Unix].
If there's an error, we have this routine called panic,
and when it is called, the machine crashes, and you holler down
the hall, 'Hey, reboot it.'" — Tom Van Vleck

What are your favorite linux/unix quotes?

It always makes me laugh when people complain and rage over any distro's management ideal, when this is a linux community, and you could always make your own distro and experience the pains yourself.

Re: What is your favorite linux quote?

Oh I saw that one, just the multics one struck me as more amusing, just as good of a quote though.

All great quotes, I've found a couple more good ones.

Linus Torvalds wrote:

Lawrence Foard wrote:

And in salvation bind them.

Linus Torvalds wrote:

Only wimps use tape backup: _real_ men just upload their important stuff on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it.

Unknown wrote:

The Killall Manual wrote:

Be warned that typing killall name may not have the desired effect on non-Linux systems, especially when done by a privileged user.

The above has to be my favorite, brings back memories of Windows.

Makes you wonder why daemons on Linux aren't called penguins?  Hmm...got to be more careful here somebody else already said that

We should start referring to processes which run in the background by their

Re: What is your favorite linux quote?

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen an angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They’d be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.
