[SOLVED]Kernel panic after starting web browser

Hi ,

I'm new on linux and dont have so much experience with it. I have one problem. Every time when I lunch web browser sooner or later I got black screen where it says kernel panick and a lot of other unknown lines for me. all of them starting with some hex number I would say. I dont know how to get log to show you what is happening. So if someone can help me it would be nice,

PS I have that problem only when I use my laptop on wifi. I have dell laptop with broadcom 4312 chip on my wireless card and I use broadcom-wl driver.

Thanks
Viktor

That's likely a driver bug. Why are you trying to use bloadcom-wl instead of b43?

BTW, people grab error messages from dead boxes with a camera.

IMHO, that is the problem you should be chasing.  It really should be as simple as installing the required firmware from the AUR for the device.

b43 is solid on this system.  Broadcom-wl, well, isn't.

Re: [SOLVED]Kernel panic after starting web browser

First I think now the questions should be moved in another group not in kernel and hardware.
Also I'm downloading movie at the same time while writing this post, and I'm not able to use any other thing that requires internet normally. gmail dont work cant connect to gtalk. refreshing page takes too long sad I dint have those problems while I was using broadcom-wl but at that time I was having another problem maybe someone of you know how I can fix this problems also?

Please use the 'report' link and leave the moderators a note as to where you would like it moved, and it will be done.
