AMD A10 Temps Reporting Incorrect

I just did a new build with one of AMD's A10 APUs. All is running great with the exception of lm_sensors reporting completely incorrect temperatures. sensors output:

k10temp-pci-00c3
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +1.0 C (high = +70.0 C)
                       (crit = +80.0 C, hyst = +79.0 C)

it8728-isa-0228
Adapter: ISA adapter
in0: +1.31 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in1: +1.50 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in2: +2.00 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in3: +2.04 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in4: +2.06 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in5: +2.23 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
in6: +2.22 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +3.06 V)
3VSB: +3.36 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +6.12 V)
Vbat: +3.07 V
fan1: 1569 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
fan2: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
fan3: 1464 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
fan4: 1530 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
fan5: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
temp1: +26.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +127.0 C) sensor = thermistor
temp2: -8.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +127.0 C) sensor = thermistor
temp3: +17.0 C (low = +127.0 C, high = +127.0 C) sensor = disabled
intrusion0: ALARM

My BIOS reports more realistic remperatures, 40-45C for the CPU and ~25C for motherboard. Any idea on what I can do to get correct readings?

Re: AMD A10 Temps Reporting Incorrect

I have the same problem on my AMD A4 socket FM1. It's never bothered me that much, but it is annoying. Could it be a bug with the k10temp and it87 modules?

Re: AMD A10 Temps Reporting Incorrect

Slight update: the inxi command appears to report the correct temperature

Sensors: System Temperatures: cpu: 26.0C mobo: N/A p

Why is there the discrepancy?

Re: AMD A10 Temps Reporting Incorrect

Here's my sensors output:

k10temp-pci-00c3
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +18.5°C (high = +70.0°C)

it8720-isa-0228
Adapter: ISA adapter
in0: +1.01 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
in1: +1.50 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
in2: +3.36 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
+5V: +2.96 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
in4: +3.04 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
in5: +2.14 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
in6: +2.14 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
5VSB: +2.98 V (min = +0.00 V, max = +4.08 V)
Vbat: +3.33 V
fan1: 1630 RPM (min = 10 RPM)
fan2: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
fan3: 0 RPM (min = 0 RPM)
temp1: +39.0°C (low = +127.0°C, high = +127.0°C) sensor = thermistor
temp2: +87.0°C (low = +127.0°C, high = +127.0°C) sensor = thermistor
temp3: +28.0°C (low = +127.0°C, high = +70.0°C) sensor = thermistor
intrusion0: ALARM

and inxi:

Sensors: System Temperatures: cpu: 39.0C mobo: 87.0C

so inxi takes temp1 as cpu and temp2 as a motherboard reading.
I guess temp1 could be the cpu, but what is k10temp picking up then? temp2 is always at 87, so I think that's incorrect, much like your temp2 reading.
