I've compiled libvirt from git with xen support
$ virsh -V
Virsh command line tool of libvirt 1.0.2
See web site at http://libvirt.org/
Compiled with support for:
Hypervisors: QEMU/KVM Xen LibXL Test
...
But when libvirt is using the libxenlight driver (ie. xend is not started) I have nothing but problems. I'd like to hear from anyone who is experienced with xen and libvirt whether or not libvirt+xl is a practical solution right now.
FTR, my intention is to have xen running on a headless server and manage vms (mostly Windows) from a workstation.
