[Kinda solved] New xorg-xrandr causing problems.

I first noticed the problem when trying to start up Minecraft to find that it suddenly stopped working.

My question is why is the new version causing problems and is there a better solution then simply downgrading xorg-xrandr back to 1.3.5-1 after every system update.

Minecraft outputs the fallowing after login with xorg-xrandr 1.4.0-1.

Look into IgnorePkg.  But remember that holding back packages may eventually cause other headaches.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

I was hoping for a better solution but thanks. Heres hoping keeping this version wont affect things badly at least for a while.

Re: [Kinda solved] New xorg-xrandr causing problems.

The error is caused by the outdated Lightweight Java Game Library included with the game and can be fixed by manually replacing the files with newer versions as explained in this thread.
Apply the fix and see how it works with the latest xorg-server.

There is no system but GNU and Linux is one of its kernels.
