Aha is that what's happening, thanks for explaining!.)
I'm not sure what to do now, you were the submitter, but there is no maintainer.
Youpi says to use 'nvidia-ck' instead of 'nvidia-ck-bumblebee', now I like to know if this is valid swap?
[edit-1]Nevermind, I installed nividia-ck, and all is working fine again, thanks!
[edit-2]Everything is working, but 'linux-3.8.1-1-ck'(sandybridge) uses 10 watt more than 'linux-3.7.9-2-ARCH' and 'linux-3.7.10-1-ck'
I just checked this , by reading the watt meter that my laptop hangs on, not in powertop!

Kernel panic in 3.8.1. I suspect it may have something to do with broadcom-wl but don't take my word for it. I'm in the process of getting into a live usb environment.

why chromium-scroll-pixels is in te repo-ck ???
Well, I suppose that this is somekind of signature, no?

As is always the case, compare 3.8.1-1-ck to 3.8.1-1-ARCH to rule out upstream code. If it isn't that, contact CK via his ck-blog or email for a bug report.

No instabilities here, but I do not have hardware that uses the broadcom-wl driver any more. A number of folks on chakra are using it with no ill-effects. Could be related to 3.8.1. See comments above.

See: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=158556
Does it bother you that I built it and make it available for others? Confused by your question.

No problem. Building 25.0.1364.152 right now. Should be online shortly.

Two Problems with linux-ck:
1.
nvidia-ck-ivybridge and perhaps other won't let install because of missing dependency of nvidia-utils=313.18. nvidia-utils=313.26-1 is actually installed.
2.
The module e1000e seems not to work anymore. ethtool gives me following output on my NIC:
Cannot get device settings: No such device
Cannot get wake-on-lan settings: No such device
Cannot get message level: No such device
Cannot get link status: No such device
Settings for eth0:
No data available
Using the stock kernel, everything works fine. Any ideas?

1. Non-issue now due; just updated the nvidia-ck package. This will happen on occasion when nvidia-utils gets updated. I have to update the nvidia-ck package (and the repo) which doesn't always occur real-time. I have a day job after all
Using the stock kernel, everything works fine. Any ideas?
2. No idea. Have you verified that 3.8.2-1-ARCH from [testing] does the same thing or is the stock kernel 3.7.10-1 which is in [core]? Odds are your problem is due to an upstream change rather than the ck1 patchset.
EDIT: Is this your problem: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52021
?

Doesn't see, that there are two different versions. Tomorrow I will verify if this is a 3.8 related issue or only a -ck issue. In fact with the 3.7.10-1 ck there is no problem. So maybe you're right.

I have the exact same problem
Workaround fix:
echo on > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:00\:19.0/power/control
Works for me :-)
thanks for the repo!

Yep ditto... Now I just need to write a udev rule or something like that.

Just to clarify, is this regression present in the native 3.8 series? In other words, not the fault of the ck1 patchset?

I just installed linux 3.8.2 from testing and the problem is there too so it's not ck1 patchset's fault \o/

Good to hear. Might want to open a bug against upstream with your solution.

Hey guys, I'm trying out linux-ck for the first time. Is anyone else having any trouble with resuming from sleep? Stock kernel works fine.

Just a small cosmetic issue: the alignment of the top image is different between the homepage vs the other pages. Also the text seems rather small to me but the site looks very clean otherwise

Yes I do have problems:
I'm wondering how to get suspend working.
So far I've tried the native systemd, acpid and laptop-mode-tools.
* In console (no X)
If I close the lid or do a systemctl suspend, the laptop goes to suspend mode (entry in the journal etc .. everything is ok).
Then opening the lid, the system wakes up (I can access it via ssh or the previous session is restored) quite instantaneously. However it takes roughly more than a minute before I can see the screen of the laptop....
* In X (started with startx, launching a simple fvwm)
I close the lid, everything goes fine to suspend. I open the lid or press the power button ... and then again remotely no problem, the system is back online. However locally the screen never goes back ... I have to reboot! Killing X / telinit 3 doesn't do anything
Things are working fine when using the stock arch kernel

@Warnaud - I'll ask you the same question I asked bslackr: does this feature work using the stock kernel from [testing]? I.e. version 3.8.2? 99 times out of 100, these breakages are due to upstream (kernel) changes, NOT due to the ck patchset. Remember, it is just a scheduler!
