Re: [SOLVED] My Laptop is getting hot

I think is not coming from there.
Maybe is a kernel issue after the last update.

Now I'm running the lts kernel and all is fine with temprature...

Open the back cover and clean out the dust just to be sure.

This is a good thing to do in general, so taking this step couldn't hurt and might actually help ensure the longevity of your machine.

Installed kernel 3.8.2 from testing a few days ago.  Laptop seems somewhat cooler since then (so far anyway).

Re: [SOLVED] My Laptop is getting hot

You could try i7z to determine the real CPU frequency. My i5 can get to 85 or more degrees under Linux (under heavy compiling/gaming) and It still seems not to get downclocked.

Re: [SOLVED] My Laptop is getting hot

Thank for giving me this tip.

I'm using now acpi_call and it already show effects after I was disabled my nvidia card. I'm running now between 45-50 degree. Before I had a temprature from minium 60-70 degree
