Hello everybody!
After a few months I have installed Arch on my laptop (Acer Aspire 5520 with nVidia GeForce 7000).
I can configure and install a base system (wifi running, installling with chroot and pacman and so on) following wiki instructions.
I've experimented a very annoying trouble: despite in starting screen installation (that with arch install option) and in grub display I see all right, in tty console my graphic output look somenthing weird and horrible, with multiple columns on same rows, and long commands overriding each others!
Something like that:
[root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command)
[root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command)
[root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command)
[root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command) [root]# (command)
This happened during installation and now, post install use.
What can I do? Disable KMS? Install proprietary nvidia driver?
Please help, else I must change linux distro... and I don't want it!!!
Thanks!
