The certificate warning has nothing to do with the error, 404 means that the repo was not found, can you manually clone the repo with
hg clone https://bitbucket.org/portix/dwb
?

ok it works... I had to change the _hgroot link to that instead of https://bitbucket.org/portix in the PKGBUILD

Another thing... is there any way for dwb to save passwords and usernames?
Offline
There are a couple extensions you can load with dwbem that can store passwords and usernames... I have not set this up personally though. I just remember reading it somewhere in this giant tthread.

There is only one that stores passwords, it is called formfiller, and there are 2 password generators, pwdhash and supergenpass.

Thanks for the much more specific (read better) answer portix. I love your browser BTW.

hi
can i add more than one adblock filters in settings ?
Offline
You can use a directory and add multiple lists to the directory. There is also a subscription extension, you can install it with
dwbem -i adblock_subscriptions
and subscribe/unsubscribe with :adblock_subscribe/:adblock_unsubscribe

Is this a question?

I have noticed a bug where the screen is not redrawn after going back in history. It seems to happen on minimalist sites that are comprised of mostly text and no images. It happens most frequently when I use dwb to open local html files, but I have also experienced it on regular websites.
Here's some screens, notice the url at the bottom:

yep, Probably work with put the txt in a folder and set the path without filtername ?

Still not sure if I am parseing correctly... you wat to know if it will work if you manually download it, name it something ridiculous like boogerslist.text and then activate it through dwb?
In that case yes, it should not matter what your list is called as long as it is in the correct path and activated. Of course I have not tried this, so it is only speculation.
Offline
Yeah, the name doesn't matter as long as dwb finds a directory or a file. Of course 'adblocker-filterlist' must point to a valid path. If you use adblock_subscriptions you don't have to care about it because adblock_subscriptions will set the path.

wow! I have been playing with differnt minimalist browsers for over a year, not quite satisfied with any. uzbl looked really promising, but was taking to much effort to customize to my liking. netsurf just suxord and I settled for xombrero/xxx-term, but although it states it is vim-like i found it unintuitive.
dwb is the browser (by the looks of it after a few days) I have been looking for! gawd awesome job!
The only thing I couldwish for, and no browser I have tried other than firefox, and the list is too long and very undistinguished, offers this feature, but I use it daily. Displaying, or a direct copy to the clipboard would be an immprovement even, source for text selected in a webpage. I often highlight a section of text on a webpage and just need to copy the source for the selection and not the entire page. In fact I do this more often than saving entire pages so that would be way kewl if that feature ever found its way into dwb. But I am in no gonna cry if it doesn't. Hell No!
thanks again for a wicked browser that really does surf like I am typing in a vim terminal.

I just hacked a quick script:
//!javascript
// ys or :source_to_cliboard copies to clipboard
// yS or :source_to_primary copies to primary
function selectedSource()
{
var selection = window.getSelection();
if (selection)
{
var fragment = selection.getRangeAt(0).cloneContents();
var d = document.createElement("div");
d.appendChild(fragment);
return (d.innerHTML);
}
}
var copySource = function(selection, selectionText)
{
var html = JSON.parse(tabs.current.focusedFrame.inject(selectedSource));
if (html)
{
clipboard.set(selection, html);
io.notify("Source copied to " + selectionText);
}
else
io.error("No selection found");
}
bind("yS", copySource.bind(this, Selection.primary, "primary selection"), "source_to_primary");
bind("ys", copySource.bind(this, Selection.clipboard, "clipboard"), "source_to_cliboard");
You need the latest hg version, the community version doesn't support clipboard yet and in older hg-version only primary selection works because clipboard was broken.
Edit: this seems to be really useful so maybe this will get a default command that works without a userscript.

Hey portix! Has anyone hacked together a script (now that HSTS has been implemented upstream) to replicate https-everywhere functionality?
All the best,

@HalosGhost: Not that i know of.
@naphelge: here is a version that also shows the source:
//!javascript
// ys or :source_to_cliboard copies to clipboard
// yS or :source_to_primary copies to primary
// sh or :show_source show source
bind("yS", copySource.bind(this, Selection.primary, "primary selection"), "source_to_primary");
bind("ys", copySource.bind(this, Selection.clipboard, "clipboard"), "source_to_cliboard");
bind("sh", showSource, "show_source");
function selectedSource()
{
var selection = window.getSelection();
if (selection)
{
var fragment = selection.getRangeAt(0).cloneContents();
var d = document.createElement("div");
d.appendChild(fragment);
return (d.innerHTML);
}
}
function getSource()
{
var html = JSON.parse(tabs.current.focusedFrame.inject(selectedSource));
if (html)
return html;
else
io.error("No selection found");
}
function copySource(selection, selectionText)
{
var html = getSource();
if (html)
{
clipboard.set(selection, html);
io.notify("Source copied to " + selectionText);
}
};
function showSource() {
var html = getSource();
if (html)
{
var escaped = html.replace(/(<)|(>)|(&)/g, function(m, lt, gt, amp) {
return lt ? "<" : gt ? ">" : "&";
});
execute("load_html <pre>" + escaped + "</pre>");
}
};

Probably more relevant upstream with the webkitgtk package, but it seems like the current stable and development versions don't support scaletempo. When I change the playback speed in mp4 videos, the voices get chipmunked.
I saw that webkitgtk got this patched pretty recently (https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31155) and the arch package was built before this patch was merged. Should I go there to request this feature be included, or is there a way to work around this using userscripts?

There is no way to work around it if it's a bug in webkitgtk. I don't think requesting this feature makes sense as archlinux only provides the stable packages. You could try webkitgtk2-svn from AUR, the package version is 20130113 but that doesn't mean that you build that version, makepkg will always grab the last commit.

This may be just me having weird habits, but I kind of got used to alt+[num] in a couple of applications to quickly change to a tab, yet the only way I found to change tabs were either using the mouse and clicking on it, or scrolling through them with Shift-J and Shift-k, but there's no way to go to a numbered tab directly.
Is there any way to implement it in dwb?

Actually, there is already a shortcut for this. I have it mapped to [num]b, but I'm pretty sure that's not the default.

${number}T
is the default. Type 'Sk' to enter the Keys settings and search for focus_tab.

You can also map it to Alt+number with
Mod1 [n]
That worked, thank you!
