As per instructions relating to qt/qt4 I removed musescore along with my other AUR packages and tried to reinstall it using yaourt. I reinstalled the other packages successfully, but after several attempts musescore is still failing to build, with this error message:
CMake Error at manual/cmake_install.cmake:36 (FILE):
file INSTALL cannot copy file
"/tmp/yaourt-tmp-stephen/aur-musescore/src/mscore-1.3/mscore/manual/MuseScore-ja.pdf"
to
"/tmp/yaourt-tmp-stephen/aur-musescore/pkg/usr/share/mscore-1.3/man/MuseScore-ja.pdf".
Call Stack (most recent call first):
cmake_install.cmake:48 (INCLUDE)
make[1]: *** [install] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/yaourt-tmp-stephen/aur-musescore/src/mscore-1.3/build'
make: *** [install] Error 2
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
Aborting...
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build musescore.==> Restart building musescore ? [y/N]
What if anything should I be editing when I retry?
I didn't spot anything prior which looked to me like an error message.
I've also tried to build it manually, with no success, and haven't been able to find an answer elsewhere. As I indicate above, musescore was previously installed successfully on this machine under Arch. (I have a backup version under Ubuntu 12.04.)

Check the AUR comments on musescore, or post a new one to make the mantainer aware of the package issues

Thanks mzneverdies. I've posted on AUR now.

If/when yaourt fails, try manually with makepkg to 1) ensure that the problem is real, and 2) to get useful error messages that are otherwise lost.

Manually installed successfully. Should I mark this as solved, as from my POV it is?

Hi
I have the same problem. What do you mean with manuall installing? Downloading it by the MoseScore Webpage and compile it manually or downloading it from the AUR and running makepkg -si?
