[solved] pavucontrol changes global output with playback stream volume

Hi!

When I adjust the sliders for a single playback stream volume (from one application), the global output volume is adjusted, too. Even though I often set output volume back to 100%, it keeps ending up at 150% when I'm using the playback volume control for single applications or sometimes at 50%... or anywhere in between. And I end up having to adjust volume in 2-5 different places every time I use a different application that have sound.

Is there any way to change this behaviour?

Disable flat-volumes in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf.

Thanks, that did it!

( After the change, I had some trouble with multiple user support / other users suddenly using a dummy output device at first, but deleting several config files solved that problem )
